About us

WSAA is governed by a Board of Directors in accordance with the association’s Constitution, which states that:

• The number of directors shall consist of not fewer than three (3) and no more than ten (10) directors
• Directors shall hold office for a term of five (5) years
• The Board of Directors will consist of Elected Directors (must be a member at all times that they hold office) and up to two (2) Co-Opted Directors (not required to be Members and shall be a person who will bring skills and experience to the Board)
  

The Board is responsible for ensuring that the WSAA has an appropriate governance structure to ensure the creation and protection of member value. The WSAA Board Charter sets out the roles, responsibilities, structure, and processes of the Board and provides clarity in the overall governance of WSAA.

The WSAA Selection & Appointment of Directors Policy outlines the eligibility for the nomination of candidates, as well as the conduct of an election of Member Directors onto the Board.

The Board is empowered by the Constitution to appoint the President and Vice-President and our current Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer are:
