The Window Shading Association of Australia (WSAA) is an industry association representing Australian manufacturers, fabric and component suppliers, retailers and importers of blinds, awnings, shutters, curtains and other window shading and solar products.

The Voice of the Industry for 70 Years

Founded in 1947 as the Venetian Blind Manufacturers’ Association of Queensland, the Association evolved in the year 2000 as a national membership association. Initially known as the Blind Manufacturers’ Association of Australia (BMAA), the Association changed its name in 2024 to better reflect our industry wide representation to the Window Shading Association of Australia (WSAA).

With over 75 years of industry leadership, the WSAA stands as the peak membership association representing the window shading sector of small family-operated businesses to large national corporations.

Committed to advancing the industry’s growth and integrity, the WSAA diligently supports its members by:

• Advocating for the industry while providing valuable insights and resources
• Uniting manufacturers, retailers, and suppliers within a collaborative network
• Promoting professionalism, knowledge sharing, and ethical practices

Members of the WSAA are bound by a Code of Ethics with expectations of trading in a fair and reasonable manner.
